Ice Factory Learn To Skate

Welcome to Learn to Skate USA!

Learn to Skate USA, a rewarding, fun and affordable way to learn to ice skate!

The Ice Factory offers year round, weekly group lessons for ages 4 to adults, with excellent student to teacher ratios. The group lessons are held weekly on Wednesday evening and Saturday mornings. The lessons are 30 minutes in length and 30 minutes of supervised practice time. The program is designed to take skaters that have no experience to advanced figure skaters. Skaters will receive a certificate of completion at the successful completion of each level. The focus of each class is on skill development and fun!

At The Ice Factory we are focused on the individual needs of each skater; regardless of age or skating level. We know that through compassionate and kind teaching, encouragement and mentorship we will be able to help you and your skater reach their individual goals.

We recommend new students to arrive at least 30 minutes before their assigned class for the check in process.

Clothing: Skaters should dress warmly in layers. We highly recommend a helmet, gloves/mittens and clothes that allow free movement. Wear 1 pair of thin tall socks. Multiple pair of socks tend to create uncomfortable blisters.

The Ice Factory of Central Florida is proud to use learn to skate USA; the official learn to skate program of USA Hockey, US Figure Skating, US Speedskating and Special Olympics.

The Learn to Skate USA Program puts the fun back in fundamentals. Every skater in our program is required to register with Learn to Skate USA ($17.00 annual fee) and will receive a sticker/workbook, magazine, secondary accident medical insurance and email information from our National Governing Body, US Figure Skating.

All of our coaches are registered and certified Learn to Skate USA Coaches. Additionally, some have continued onward with their education and have become rated coaches through the PSA (Professional skaters association). Also, many are registered with a US Figure Skating club and have also completed their CERS (continuing education requirements). All of our coaches have background checks and have met the National Safesport requirements.
